Art Show
This committee is looking for new leadership and vision! Here is your chance to make the art show you want for your child! Ideas might include small shows at each co-op (with a committee member from each one) followed by a large co-op wide show somewhere public or central. Or maybe start small by getting in at the library school art displays … Truly this is your chance to dream!
Science Fair
This committee is in need of leadership. Needs include: Mentors for projects- we are looking for people who would be interested in hosting an event either at a co-op or outside of Co-op walking the students through the steps of a science fair project. We also need people to help organize one or more Science fair competitions within the organization (possibly one per co-op).
Market Day
This committee is looking for new leadership and vision! Do you have a passion for young entrepreneurs? Here is your chance to create a program helping kids learn about business in a hands-on realistic way! Maybe you dream big, offer workshops and instructions, and find local places TEACH kids can sell their items. Or maybe you just organize one or two days at each co-op where the kids can sell items during lunch. Either way, this committee has room to grow!
Yearbook
Spelling Bee
This committee is looking for new leadership and vision! We need a committee to plan the one day event, get spelling lists out the families, find judges, and run the event. Here is a chance to really make this into something exciting!
High School Graduation
Pick this option if you have a senior who will be part of high school graduation.
*Additional option for ONE person who does NOT have a graduating senior. This will be a 2 day commitment: attending the rehearsal (2 hours) and the actual graduation (2-3 hours) to help the coordinator make sure the ceremony flows smoothly. You must contact Danielle West ([email protected]) about claiming this position.
Kindergarten Graduation
Pick this option if you have a child who will be part of Kindergarten graduation.
Teen Events
We are looking for volunteers to help bring new ideas and fun to this committee!
Short term Committees
From time to time, the Board has need of a short term committee to do research or other similar activities for us. Right now we need a small committee to research new insurance for our organization and present the findings to the Board. Our rates have literally doubled in the last 3 years and we need a new solution if possible. So if you are good at calling and researching on your own time and especially if you know something about insurance, this could be your volunteer spot!
History Day
We have a strong leader here. Help is needed with set up and tear down on the day of the event. Another option is to provide snacks for the event.
Prom
Prom committee will host meetings prior to the event either in person or virtually to plan the theme and assign commitments. Some commitments are: Flyers, Communication and social media posts, Decorating the day before and/day of the event. Picking up food the day of and setting it up. Chaperoning the event and then cleaning up after.
Field Trips
This committee is in need of a new treasurer, and volunteers to help plan and facilitate trips.
Homeschool Expo
This committee has strong leadership, but there is plenty of need for help during the event! We need help with set up (day before) and tear down (afternoon day of). We need people to answer questions at the front desk, show people where things are, general gofor type of things during the Expo. You could also work the TEACH table in the exhibit hall.
Athletics Support
Pick this option if your child will play sports this year as parents are required to volunteer.
Robotics
TEACH offers two robotics teams. Robotics needs team coaches/ mentors, help with media and fundraising as well as help during the competition day.
Field Day
This committee needs volunteers to help in planning fun activities, gathering supplies, and running the event the day of.
